DevTrack
- What's New in version 6.2
|
Improved Graphical Workflow Editor
A new graphical workflow editing tool allows multiple selection of states
and transitions, automatic path-finding between states, quicker load times,
and more customization options.
Rule-based Event Workflow Automation
Users can now create more flexible and granular rules to automate events.
Based on these rules, events can create new issues that inherit properties
of their parent issue, create other events, or perform workflow actions
automatically.
Password Protection for Web Query Reports
Users can now opt to require viewers of a Web Query report to login to DevTrack.
Issue Work Estimates
New system fields have been added which allow developers to enter their
time spent, time remaining, and anticipated issue completion date. These
fields can be tied to workflow rules. For users of DevPlan, this information
can roll-up to the project plan, allowing project managers to see the estimated
completion time of tasks within a subproject.
Enhanced Web Service API
Users of DevTrack’s LinkPlus API can now call the DevTrack Web Service in
order to integrate with third party applications. New functions have been
added to interface with the release management features within DevTrack.
Administrator Division Support
Project administrators can now be grouped in divisions and assigned permissions
based on the projects they administer. This more granular approach allows
users to limit the actions administrators can perform.
Enhanced Automation between Projects
DevTrack 6.2 introduces nested automation rules between linked issues in
other projects. This enhanced support allows for changes in one projects
to automatically trigger a change in another project, and then have that
automated change trigger other actions in a nested chain.
Installation Improvements
Changes to the DevTrack installers simplify the process of setting up a
DevTrack system.
Administrator Performance Enhancements
All pages in the administrator have been enhanced to perform quickly even
in low bandwidth or distributed environments.
