StarTeam 4.1 Client and User Resources

Can anyone explain why the StarTeam 4.1 client grabs excessive Windows User Resources when you have multiple projects open in separate windows (each window was opened with a Project shortcut). The resource usage seems fine until I add a number of topics or Change Requests. At that point the User Resources deplete rapidly. If I close the clients at that point I don't get all the User Resources back unless I reboot.
