Hi Tina,

The subject might be a bit to big to post as a document in this forum. There are several very good sources that you can study on the Internet such as http://www.airtime.co.uk/users/wysywig/cmp.htm. I also find the following sites being very good starting points: http://www.cs.colorado.edu/users/andre/configuration_management.html and http://www.iac.honeywell.com/Pub/Tech/CM/index.html. On this site we also have a page with links to other sites on the Web with good information. The URL is http://www.fox.se/english/starteam/scm_links.htm. I also use the newsgroup comp.software.config-mgmt as a source of information.
